Should You Take a Branding Course?

Making Brand Decisions: Branding Course

We just released the first session of our Bloom Your Brand Course: Making Brand Decisions!

Since we started Dandelion in early 2019, we have talked about wanting to create a course that makes it easy for people to take the leap into building a recognizable brand.

Creating a brand is a huge decision to make, and it’s scary, but we feel like it doesn’t have to be a huge logistical challenge too.

We’ve been honing our expertise for the past several years (read: we’ve done the trial and error part for you) and then we spent the past year asking questions about what most brand owners need help with.

We combined our own branding method with what would be the most helpful walkthrough and came up with the first session of our branding course!

Courtney made a video that talks a bit about why this is such an important place to start. You can see that here:

What is a Branding Course?

“Branding” is a difficult term to define because there actually isn’t any agreed upon definition.

That means every branding course you come across is going to teach you something a little bit different.

What you get from your typical branding course is information about how to utilize your imagery and how to choose the right colors for your brand. You might even walk away with a couple ideas for your logo or some basic brand identity prompts.

Because we’ve defined branding for ourselves, our whole course is built around our definition: sharing the purposeful cohesion between the vision, voice, and values of a business to their customers.

That means we’re building a holistic, comprehensive branding course. It encompasses your imagery, of course, but it also helps you define your values, adhere to your brand’s future vision, and define your entire brand concept with a mind towards your ideal customers!

Is our Branding Course Right for You?

Well, that depends on what you want to accomplish with the course.

If you’re expecting something easy-breezy, this probably isn’t the course for you.

The first session of this course exists for you to create the conceptual framework for your brand. So we’re going to ask you dig deep and be open with your own dreams here – while planning to make those dreams happen.

This course session is built to help you to move forward with your brand to do things like:

  • Create a website (session two)
  • Create content (session three)
  • Create lead generation (session four)
  • Create a fully functioning business (session 5)

Building a brand is hugely transitional – and we know first hand how scary it can be. We’re dedicated to making it easier and more affordable.

How Long Does the Making Brand Decisions Course Take?

You will have access to the course materials forever, even as we update them, so how long it takes you is completely up to you.

Keep in mind that there are 15 detailed content lessons (and 3 bonus lessons) in this course, so it’s not something you’re going to complete in a day!

If you’re starting from scratch, just with the inkling of what you’d like to create, and you work through it slowly and methodically, the course will take about 1-2 months to complete.

If you’re someone with a million ideas for your brand vision, this will make you get organized and set up a timeline to incorporate those ideas over time. Having those sets of grander ideas will let you work through this a bit more quickly, and could take just a couple of weeks.

This is one of the most important sessions for your brand because it’s going to help you organize the foundational pieces of your dream business, but it’s also one of the most elusive. It can take as long or as short as you would like it to but it is vitally important that you don’t let the opportunity to define your dream go to waste.
